
Heyuan LoRaWAN Testing Report(Distance, signal, Packet loss)
Testing Introduction
Test project location: Jinan In-zone HOPSCA
Test purpose: meet the requirements of infinite acquisition control in the project, comprehensive test of LoRaWAN communication distance, signal, and packet loss for the actual situation in the site.
Project requirements: networking test for two buildings with distance of 80 meters. The height is 21 floors. There are measuring points on each floor. And the starting floor is -1 floor.
Test specific drawing analysis
The gateway locates at 21th Floor. The distance between the two buildings is 81 meters.
LoRaWAN node module installation location is shown in the below picture.

Test report output
Node 1 and node 2 modules are set to upload data once every 10s.
Conclusion
Through comparison, the module and the gateway use omnidirectional fiberglass antenna make better communication and the building 1# and 2# floor distribution rooms’ communication normal and data interruption less.
Placing the LoRaWAN gateway in the middle of the building (Floor 10), the communication effect will be better.
